The Furry Arc – Part 2

Gotta love a tactical use of the Peanuts Wall so I don't have to draw the bottom half of the characters.  It also makes it less weird that Hal, who is (again) just a black and yellow Tom Servo puppet, is at eye height with Adam.

This is also the culmination in about 20 years of webcomic lore, in joke form.  In Jim The Viking (later retold in much better detail in Apple Valley), the main character (originally Jim, then Arthur Castle) did not have a soul because, upon crossing dimensions from the real world into a 'sprite comic' universe, he had to reformat his traditional normal human soul for a 'Sprite Avatar' of himself in order to be able to exist and interact in that world.  It gave him access to some nice powers and abilities (like an inventory system, fast travel, and being able to see hit points) but at the cost of... you know... his soul.

Most of the time it didn't actually matter, or even was a benefit - like during the Yggdrasil Invasion arc in Apple Valley, where the invading forces of the Yggdrasil Interdimensional Freedom Front were using a magic weapon called the "Thorn of Yggdrasil" to turn most of the characters into furries (there's so much lore behind why they were doing this that it would take 20 more paragraphs to explain, just go with it), the weapon failed to work on both Steve and Arthur - Steve because he was a robot replica of the original Steve, and Art because he didn't have a soul.
